Studi Efektivitas Operasional Bongkar Muat Ammonium Nitrate di PT. Kutai Jaya Pundinusa Bontang
Abstract
This study aims to assess the operational effectiveness of Ammonium Nitrate loading and unloading activities at PT Kutai Jaya Pundinusa, Bontang, East Kalimantan. As a hazardous chemical used in the mining industry, Ammonium Nitrate requires efficient operational procedures that meet strict safety standards. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and analysis of operational documents over a specified period. The analysis focuses on loading and unloading times, equipment capacity and readiness, workforce performance, and the implementation of occupational safety standards. The data obtained are analyzed qualitatively to identify factors hindering effectiveness, assess the current operational performance, and formulate strategic recommendations to optimize the loading and unloading process. Scientifically, this study contributes to strengthening the maritime supply chain management approach in handling hazardous materials while encouraging improved safety practices and logistics efficiency at industrial ports.
