The high demand for seafarers' Human Resources (HR) in developing countries has led to the emergence of various crew management companies, which act as representatives of foreign shipping companies in Indonesia. The main objective of these companies is to find and provide qualified seafaring human resources for placement on foreign ships. An example is PT. Cipta Wira Tirta Yogyakarta is a crew manning agency that has special functions in managing crews for ship owners abroad. The purpose of this writing is to know and understand the understanding of crew in detail in recruitment activities for restaurant and hotel crews on Norwegian Cruise Line ships At PT. Cipta Wira Tirta Yogyakarta and to find out the obstacles that occurred during the crew recruitment. The author uses observation to collect data, which involves making direct observations at PT. Cipta Wira Tirta Yogyakarta; interview method/interview by conducting direct interviews with crewing managers and staff of PT. Cipta Wira Tirta Yogyakarta: According to the title, the literature study method is reading books and websites related to relevant problems. The results of this study show that there is a need for a basic understanding of crew members in detail when recruiting, as well as minimizing errors to facilitate crew recruitment by PT.
