Keterlambatan Proses Bongkar Muat Gandum Pada Kapal MV SE Cardi di Pelabuhan Tanjung Intan Cilacap
Abstract
The wheat loading and unloading process at Tanjung Intan Cilacap Port has experienced significant inefficiencies. The factors causing these inefficiencies include natural conditions, suboptimal performance of the Loading and Unloading Workforce (TKBM), and poorly maintained loading and unloading equipment. Consequently, ship waiting times have increased, and operational costs have risen. This research aims to analyze the wheat loading and unloading process on the MV Se Cardi vessel at Tanjung Intan Cilacap Port, identify the factors contributing to operational inefficiencies, and evaluate the impacts and the measures taken to address them. The research employs a qualitative method, relying on both primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The collected data are qualitatively analyzed to identify the factors, impacts, and measures to handle inefficiencies in the wheat loading and unloading process on the MV Se Cardi vessel. The research results indicate that the factors affecting inefficiency include natural conditions, human factors, and technical conditions of the equipment. The inefficiency of this process can lead to loading and unloading delays, operational losses for the vessel, higher mooring costs, and increased operational expenses. Efforts to improve the loading and unloading process at Tanjung Intan Port include accurate time estimation, training and enhancement of human resource quality, and maintenance and upgrading of loading and unloading equipment technology
