Analisis SWOT terhadap Implementasi Terminal Operating System (TOS) dalam Meningkatkan Efisiensi Operasional Pelabuhan Tanjung Emas
Abstract
The development of information technology in the Industry 4.0 era is driving digital transformation in the maritime sector, including the implementation of the Terminal Operating System (TOS) at Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang. This study aims to evaluate the impact of TOS on the efficiency of loading and unloading operations and identify barriers to its implementation. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, as well as a SWOT analysis based on TOS operational data to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the operational efficiency of Tanjung Emas Port, resulting in a more comprehensive, technical, and applicable efficiency improvement strategy. The results show that TOS improves inter-unit coordination through real-time data integration, reduces dwell time, speeds up vessel waiting time, and increases loading and unloading productivity. The SO, ST, WO, and WT strategies show an effective approach to exploit opportunities, strengths, and reduce risks. The implementation of TOS is proven to support port efficiency, transparency, and competitiveness, while also being a strategic step towards Smart Port Indonesia.
