Abstract

The ignition system in a boiler plays a crucial role in ensuring the continuous combustion process. To generate an optimal spark, electrode voltage stability is required. This study aims to identify the factors affecting electrode voltage stability on the MV. Mubasyir ship through observation, interviews, and technical analysis. The findings reveal that ignition disturbances are caused by voltage fluctuations, insulator damage, and inadequate maintenance. Recommended improvements include routine maintenance, the use of high-temperature-resistant insulators, and crew training. The implementation of these strategies is expected to enhance combustion efficiency and boiler system reliability.
