KONSEP KAPAL DENGAN TENAGA OTEC (OCEAN THERMAL ENERGY CONVERSION)

Abstract

Energy had become a major problem in the world, sothe depletion of fossil energy was increasingly demanding the existence of energy-saving movements and a new energy search. Availability that must exist leads people to creatively find new energy to replace fossil energy. Sea transportation in this case ships really need fossil energy like diesel fuel as its main fuel. This research was literature studies that seek to conceptualize Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion ships, OTEC was a device that converted ocean heat into electrical energy or mechanical energy. From the discussion, found that the concept of the OTEC ship was the concept of the combined design of the OTEC ship with the use of sea heat as a boiler for the ammonia fluid that could drive turbines and propellers.
